  • Is this free?

    Yes, uploading and downloading is 100% Free for all users. We offer premium accounts which allows for greater flexibility with uploading/downloading.

  • Can I upload and download if I do not register on your site?

    Anyone can download files without registering. Take advantage of our premium account if you need full speed downloading with unlimited upload storage space.

  • Will my files be removed?

    Files uploaded by visitors will be deleted after 90 days of inactivity, 180 days for free users who signed up for free user account and 365 days for users with premium accounts.

  • How many files can I upload?

    You can upload as many files as you want, as long as each one adheres to the Terms of Service and the maximum file upload size.

  • Which files types am I allowed to upload?

    You may upload any type of file as long as you own it or have copyright for it.

  • Are there any restrictions to the size of my uploaded files?

    Free Users and non users can upload files upto 5GB size per file or upto 10GB in size for premium accounts. If it is greater than that amount, your file will be rejected. We suggest atleast registering for a free account so you can easily manage your files.

  • Can I upload music or videos?

    Yes. Music and video hosting is permitted as long as you own the copyright on the content and it adheres to the terms and conditions.

  • There are some files on our servers which may have been subject to copyright protection, how can I notify you of them?

    Via our report abuse page.

  • Can I delete the files that I have uploaded?

    Yes. users can just login to your account and you will be directed to the file manager, you can delete your file from there.

  • Can deleted files be restored?

    We can try to get your file back if you notify us within 12 hours of you deleting the file, if its longer, then we cannot recover your file. Its user responsibility for backing up their files.

  • Can I search for files?

    You can search the files you have uploaded (only for free and premium users not for visitors) but you cannot search for other users files. You can only download them using the download URL.

  • What can I do when I lost my download link?

    If you are the owner who uploaded the file, you can get the URL from your file manager after you login to your filecad account. If someone else uploaded it, then you cannot, you will need to ask the uploader for it since we do not provide download URLs if the uploader doesnt want to share their files.

  • What happens after my files expire?

    After the file has expired, it will be sent to delete folder where it will be permanently removed after 12 hours. If you need to restore the file back, you will need to do so within 12 hours.

  • How many files can I download per day?

    Premium users can download as many as they want without any wait. Non users can only download 5 files daily and Free users can only download 10 files daily. If you want to release this limit, please get a premium account.

  • How long do I wait between downloads?

    You do not need to wait between downloads however non-premium users can only download 1 file at a time. There is a daily limit of 5 downloads for non users, 10 for free users and no limit for premium users.

  • How can i get my API key?

    API is available to all registered users (Free & Premium users). You can generate your set of API keys under the "Account Settings" page. Just login and Go to File Manager, Now open "Account Settings" from the top menu. You can generate new API keys by pressing the "Generate" button. Please note, if you had a key before and you click on "Generate", it will create a new key for you and your old API key will no longer work.
